Tour Description

Embark on a unique 7-day adventure that combines the vibrant coastal city of Dar es Salaam with an unforgettable journey into the remote and wild heart of Tanzania. This meticulously crafted itinerary offers a rare opportunity to witness the incredible chimpanzees of Gombe National Park, the site of Dr. Jane Goodall's groundbreaking research. Your safari begins and ends with the bustling culture of Dar es Salaam, but the main event is a flight to the shores of Lake Tanganyika. There, you'll immerse yourself in a boat safari, trek through lush forest to meet our closest living relatives, and enjoy the tranquil beauty of one of Africa's most stunning and least-visited national parks. This tour is perfect for those seeking a truly immersive, off-the-beaten-path wildlife and cultural experience.
A Note on Trekking: Please be aware that the chimpanzee trekking in Gombe National Park takes place in mountainous and sometimes steep terrain. A moderate level of physical fitness is required. For your comfort and to ensure you can fully enjoy this experience, we strongly advise non-athletes to engage in some regular hiking or similar physical activity in their hometown for at least a month before the safari.
