Your journey begins as you depart from Arusha in the morning. A scenic drive takes you to Lake Natron, a remarkable alkaline lake known for its unique landscapes. Upon arrival, you'll have the opportunity to explore the nearby waterfalls and visit the flamingo breeding grounds. Your first night will be spent at a comfortable lodge or camp in the Lake Natron area.
An early start sets the tone for an exciting day. You'll depart Lake Natron and head north toward the northern part of the Serengeti. Along the way, en-route game drives offer chances to spot wildlife in their natural habitat. Upon reaching your destination, a lodge or camp in the northern Serengeti, you'll settle in for the night, eager for the adventures that await.
The day begins with an early rise as you prepare to witness one of nature's most dramatic events: the wildebeest river crossing (seasonal). Marvel at this breathtaking spectacle as the herds navigate the waters with a mix of courage and instinct. Following this incredible display, you'll enjoy a full day of game drives in the northern Serengeti, exploring its diverse landscapes and abundant wildlife. Your evening will be spent at the same lodge or camp in the northern Serengeti.
Bid farewell to the northern Serengeti after breakfast as you embark on a journey southward to the central Serengeti. This scenic drive is far from ordinary, with game drives en route that provide you with more opportunities for wildlife sightings. As the day unfolds, you'll arrive at your accommodation in the central Serengeti, ready for another night in the heart of this wildlife-rich region.
Today, you'll have the entire day to immerse yourself in the wonders of the central Serengeti. With its diverse landscapes and abundant wildlife, this region is a paradise for nature enthusiasts. Morning and afternoon game drives will give you ample opportunities to spot the Big Five and other fascinating creatures. As the sun sets, you'll return to your lodge or camp in the central Serengeti for a well-deserved rest.
After breakfast, your journey takes you to the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the world's largest unbroken caldera. Descend into this unique ecosystem for a guided game drive, where you'll encounter a remarkable array of wildlife. Enjoy a picnic lunch surrounded by the stunning crater scenery.
